mine is loud as hell I'm 18 months after surgery.i actually hated it in the beginning now I love hearing it I hope my breathing and it's loud and it tell me my hearts working good and you definitely get used to it after a year nor so well i did at least hope you are doing well ❤️🩹

I had to turn the volume up to hear yours instead of mine 😂 it’s so hard to get used to! And nights are very hard because that’s all I concentrate on! Then I remember what one of the surgeons said.. it may be annoying but remember, that is the sound keeping me alive!

also had the exact operation. was to scared to open my mouth friends would say i can hear your heart ticking. my ticking after 2 yrs is much quieter.

Although I've only had mvr and not a replace, I can tilt my head to the left slightly on my pillow and hear the beat quite prominently. Have you tried listening to wind or blizzard sounds on youtube for sleeping?

wow dude we had the same op on yhe same date I had a carbon valve replacement and an aneurysm removed call me Mr Bionic lol its loud only when I sit quietly in the bathroom...other than that I barely hear it I do feel it though it shakes the entire body

I never hear my valve at night so weird! lol only during the say when it's loudest! lol I hope you learn to allow it be soothing for your rest!

I had a Bovine heart valve replaced in Aug of 2024. Don’t know how I feel about that. I would have rather had a mechanical one. But God is Good!

I have both an aortic and mitral mechanical valves. They go back and forth. Sometimes they are loud, and I turn on a fan and down them out.
