I want to share my encounter with Jesus. I left Islam as my perspective has changed profoundly. After years of searching, questioning, and trying to prove that Jesus is not God, I found myself at the lowest point in my life and it was there that I encountered the truth. In February of last year, I became a follower of Christ, and I can now say with conviction and gratitude that I am a Christian.
God revealed Himself to me with unconditional love. One night, after crying out to Him relentlessly in search of the truth, I had a dream in which Jesus appeared to me. It was unlike anything I had ever experienced. In the dream, I asked Him, “What is the purpose of life?” He looked at me and smiled, saying, “You will know it soon.”
I can still remember His appearance vividly. His body radiated a golden aura of light. He wore a white robe, and His hair was long and brown, reaching His shoulders. His face shone with a bright, gentle light that didn’t hurt my eyes. His eyes were the most striking a blend of green, blue, and turquoise, shining like the ocean, with a fire-like brilliance that was indescribably beautiful.
In the dream, He took me upward, and I floated behind Him. I felt no pain, no fear, and no desire to return to earth. As we rose, I looked down and saw my physical body sleeping on the bed. For a moment, I remembered my family my parents but the higher I went, the more I was filled with peace and love, and the less I felt any earthly attachment. I experienced a kind of love that surpasses anything this world can offer a love so pure, so complete, it can only come from Him. It was not like the love of parents or partners; it was divine.
That experience changed my life. It led me to convert and to follow Christ. I now know that He is the truth, the way, and the life. I have come to believe that Islam was not the truth I was seeking. My heart has found peace in Jesus. I love you with all my heart Father.
