Not surprised. Certain industries attract high iq people and they’re centered in these areas. My sister in law is from Brazil but works as a doctorate level researcher at Yale. Plays multiple instruments and speaks 4 languages.

Went to high school in a red state. Lived in a red state my entire 59 yrs. No college degree. Worked my way up in a company and have made a 6 figure income since the 1996. Education and this IQ bs is overrated.
