Unless he saw a pediatric cardiologist and have an echo done, he wasn’t checked properly. We have to advocate for our kids. This from a medical momma and former pediateic experience.

Just food for thought…. Would you be upset withyoursekf if you went and got another opinion with a pediatric cardiologist OR not get another opinion and miss something with your baby? 😐

Heart mom of a newborn that was undiagnosed until she was 7 hours from cardiac arrest - please ask for an echocardiogram. I saw your other video with your owlet and that heart rate with the sweating is scary. I’m not sure where you’re located or if you already did this but going to a children’s hospital that has a peds cardiac unit would be ideal. Our small hospital wasn’t able to catch it but a large city children’s hospital with a CICU was. I hope it’s nothing ❤

Are you sure a cardiologist saw him and an echo was ordered? I work in adult world icu and see patients get blown off my a doc being ‘aware’ of issue that isn’t throughly checked. They always say refer to primary care when discharged or something like that.

I was the same way as a baby and they thought I had asthma. My mom had to literally see a doctor from another state to find out, I had a deformed muscle on my heart that turned into a giant hole.

was he seen by a pediatric cardiologist or just a ER doc? (that's no shade to pediatric ER docs) but ooooooph......as a mom with a kid who has a CHD....that reminds me of a very scary time in my baby's life.

If I your gut says something is not right please listen and push for a answer. With my son I had to push hard. I was not backing down. I knew something was wrong. Four specialist later and some scans and he was diagnose with cerebral palsy. It was mild but he needed intervention. If I would have listened to the first few doctors it’s hard to tell when I would have found out.
