If you get it at a good Scottish pub the sausage is properly seasoned, the bread crumb is properly seasoned, the egg is soft boiled (runny yolk), and most importantly it's fresh and hot. You took good food and ruined it, that's so English of you.

That's the most plain scotch egg I've ever seen. The best one I've had is at my local ren fair and it's fantastic. Really good with sausage gravy or horseradish

never been to the UK but Raglen Road at disney springs has scotch eggs for appetizers and it was delicious, nice hot crispy FLAVORED with the spices we use here because we don't like bland food so good

You need to take her to a ren festival in the US for good scotch eggs. There’s even a bar near me that has scrumptious scotch eggs.

I've never had a scotch egg and I don't eat meat but I can see how this COULD be good. like the egg should be slightly runny inside but not too much. The sausage needs to be well seasoned whether its beef, pork, turkey, or some combination seasoning is key! then. the coating on the outside also needs to be seasoned before I'm assuming it's deep fried? it also looks like it needs a dipping sauce of some sort. HP sauce would likely work.
