Not every chemo day looks the same… and today was one of those days 💕 Chemo #15 of 16 We started with accessing my port, but it needed a little extra patience today. No blood return at first… So we did what needed to be done… flushes, repositioning, laying me back, a little heparin, letting it sit for a few minutes… and trying again. At one point we’d get blood return… then lose it…just one of those days where the port needed a little extra help. (And yes…about 12 flushes later 😅 you already know how I feel about that taste 🤢) But this is all normal. This is part of chemo. And my nurses? The absolute BEST. Calm, experienced, and on top of it every step of the way. They made it feel easy, even when it took a little extra time. We got blood return ✔️ Got started ✔️ And another chemo day DONE 🙌🏼 ONE. MORE. LEFT.
