my dearest I am so happy that you are giving. Just remember a lot of mega churches do alot for the poor specialy in South africa for instance CRC church if you look deeper in what some of them do you will realise they do not use that money to put n big show up for you. they give back to the community alot if you where part of a mega church you would know that

Tithing and offering is two different things. Offering is giving beyond your tithe. Anything extra. I usually give my tithe on the first of every month, then in the services I would ask the Holy Spirit how much I should give, then give that amount, whether it is R50 or R500. I see offerings as an act of gratitude. The church usually use this for charity in the community, etc. Tithing is more like ‘returning’ God’s money to Him so that the church can continue their work. If that makes sense?!😁

I hear what you’re saying and I agree that we should give back - that is what it’s about 🫶🏼 I always use to tithe to the church specifically but over the past 3 years I have decided to take that % and use it to help the people that need it most - whether it be buying a few things for a family in need or if I just feel in my soul a person needs to be blessed 🤗 in my opinion I think it’s a personal decision and I’d personally rather give it to people in need directly ( purely because I’ve been in churches in the past that don’t help the needy, but then the pastor drives a Mercedes 😂)
