Not just with dying either, but any life changing event. I was doing the dishes when I had a stroke. Just a perfectly ordinary morning like every other. One minute I'm washing my dishes and the next, my whole life changes and hasn't been the same since. The same with getting the news about a loved one dying. Every ordinary moment can be the moment your whole world just, shifts.

My husband fell off a mountain in during a photography shoot, I think about the time before and I imagine him smiling and in his element completely and it’s comforting. What fills me with dread is the moment he knew he was hurt, or knew he was dying. Did he know? Did he say oh shit, I’ve done it this time? Did he think of us? Was he disappointed, sad? Scared? Shocked? I think about it almost every day.
