pex is less expensive and easier to work with. plus with 1 continuous line you don't have all the joints for possible leaks. pvc is less expensive then the old cast iron pipes and is easier to work with. my suggestion is pvc for watse, pex for input in most things, but a copper line to the kitchen for drinking and cooking water, and the supply line to the refrigerator if you have an ice maker. this balances health and affordablity.

Who is they ? Bottom line is price because no one can stop anyone from spending & installing copper pipes, i for one would love to see how copper stops fluoride, show me please 🙏🏻 back up these claims.
