I think the problem that has developed with Halloween itself are places like Halloween stores. I love going into spirit, but at the same time I think the premade costumes are the reason people are starting to dislike Halloween and I honestly think that more people need to try putting together Halloween costumes for cheaper and piece by piece!

I agree with spending $100 on a costume you'll wear once. but you can always sell your costume afterwords. I usually every year get 2 lol I only got one this year and go out a couple times to some silent disco or Halloween party. As we get older we dont enjoy it as much as we used to. Halloween will always be my favorite Holiday wether that's going out with the kids trick or treating (literally my favorite) and yes i dress up too lol, watch movies and eat junk food, carve pumpkins, haunted houses, pumpkin patch. Halloween isn't for everyone and that's okay!

in my house, if you’re buying a costume, it will get reused for several years plus we love decorating the house for us and trick or treaters and haunted houses

But you dont have to do any of that. You dont have to dress sexy and you dont only have to wear your costume once and you dont have to spend $100 on it. Halloween is the best holiday because it’s non religious, non political and anyone of any age, gender, relationship status, race, ethnicity or family dynamic can participate.
