Tourists go to napa, Californians go to Sonoma.,.,,,except the cab the wine is better and some prefer Sonoma cabs …..Sonoma has ocean, river thru redwoods, redwoods, better towns. List is endless

Or.. avoid this pretentious snooty region entirely, and go to Paso Robles. Beautiful, WAY less snooty, more affordable, and better wines!

V Suttui is great if you have kids with you - as many people seem to do these days. Get some bottles, food and have a picnic on the lawn.

Growing up in Healdsburg I watched the wineries change. It is so sad to see how they are now. It used to be enjoyable and relaxing and intimate. Now it is all corporate and rigid and bland.

Calistoga wineries are great. August Briggs no longer has their nice white barn but their wines are still amazing. Chateau montelena has nice reds and world famous Chardonnay.
