Sad thing is that most of the places have vibration analyzers and could’ve caught that bearing starting to fail

Does it have sealed bearings? At 3600rpm, I would hope that the alignment was within tolerance.

Why rebuild? Sometimes another simply isn’t available or the lead time is enormous.

Why not invest in a steel stamper instead of a 3-D printer?

I've also been trying to sell my shop on 3d printing fans. I printed up some samples but we havnt gotten to the point of testing/proving them reliable.

I really hate those motors, I’ve seen them loose the pinion end bearing multiple times, not sure why the thought to make the non greasable.

very poor design and replaced to many of these motors as a gd tech. it needs to be reconfigured. have to replace the bearings every 30k hours at most

Gardner Denver isn't even their name anymore - its now GD Energy. so this has definitely been in service for several years. Also, I've machined about 75% of those parts in that.. Shaft is probably a 2-3k part on its own. Im about 95% sure it'll need replaced. fun to see stuff i work on in a video here haha

Dang I’m early. I love these videos. I work in a manufacturing facility. We have hundreds of motors interesting to learn about them

a water treatment plant I'm consulting for had a motor blow on them, arcing on the junction box and whatnot, turns out they were ignoring an over temp alarm
