When the kittens died did you allow her to see them? Animals grieve differently than we do and she may not even know her kittens died unless she was able to see and smell them.

My cat did this with her first patch of kittens that died, you need to either mimic the sounds of kittens yourself or play kitten sounds so she comes to you n can take care of you so she feels at peace my cat was freaking out till i did that now when i do it shes calm and relaxed especially due to her second batch but trust try that
