Omar Abdi :
According to my values, when I say a woman is beautiful, I do not mean physical beauty. I look at her character, behavior, discipline, and how she organizes her life. What matters most to me is that she has a vision for her future. It does not matter what that vision is—business, education, or any meaningful goal—as long as she has purpose and direction.
Marriage, to me, is not just between two individuals. When I marry a woman, I am also marrying her family, just as she becomes part of mine. My mother, her father, and our families all become connected, respected, and treated as friends.
You must also understand that I believe in personal responsibility. Cooking is not something I expect from her alone—I cook. Cleaning my clothes is my responsibility—I do it myself. Whether I pay the bill or not, I still believe in contributing equally. At the same time, I believe in providing a monthly allowance, because responsibility and care go hand in hand.
Finally, she must be Somali, because culture, understanding, and shared values matter deeply to me.
