@coaching.gifted: Highly intelligent individuals think fast and broader than average. This creates issues, when others can’t see the connections that you do. Others don’t trust what you say, they don’t understand how you got to your conclusion, they become overwhelmed. As a result you become overwhelmed. #highintelligence #highlyintelligent
Is that why I can’t bear conversations? They take so long to ‘get it out’ and I already know where they’re going.

To me that’s intelligence when you can recognize others way of thinking and speak to them accordingly.

I disagree, because some people with ADHD also think too far ahead and fail to communicate things in between too

I disagree. I believe what you're speaking of is someone who is highly intelligent but lacks insight and intuition. I have a very high intelligence and always make a point of explaining things in great detail - particularly in situations that require it.

I think, we are all intelligent , we just don’t ask questions why things are the way they are , we ignore the asking and just follow the herd afraid being OutKast

I’m often told that I haven’t explained certain things and therefore can’t assume them. But I just don’t understand what’s obvious and what I actually need to explain. How am I supposed to know that? For me everything seems obvious??

I used to think that going back and explaining was a waste of time, because I already thought through several possibilities and have the solution.

autistic and ADHD here. I can't say that I'm smarter but with my pattern recognition and 5000mph brain I definitely jump past a lot of the thought process. it's really hard to slow down and show the work.

everybody can be intelligent,it only depends on level of a conscious awareness( it's never set and can always be changes).there is not only one kind of intelligence, there is I.Q -E.Q. -S.Q. -A.Q.

Having a fast brain (adhd and gifted) and delayed processing (asd) is such a struggle! It's cool that we can see more (angles) than a NT, but the process of decision making and especially overthinking what and how we should say things to make ourselves more palatable is energy draining. And NT's are never clear about what they want, need, or mean. We have to translate ALL the time. Don't get me started about the reaction if we ask questions (you're so confrontational! No I'm not, I just want to understand what it is you're saying 🥺).

I'm being misunderstood as "ruminating" and "you should stop thinking", and last therapist told me it's not possible to predict situations or analyse them and then decide what to do and that it's the best to do this and not that. 🙈 I felt not understood at all, she had no idea what I was talking about when I tried explaining how things connect in my mind and how I think and how I analyse things. for me, telling I should not think about anything is absurd - how can I stop thinking? it's natural and I think about everything and things just come to me sometimes when my brain makes the connections. sometimes I have hard time trying to see what I connect when it's going so fast in my brain 🤣 I mean it's like a video is sped up and I'm trying to get all the images and the connections are made so fast. it's cool when it happens, it's usually when I'm trying to solve a problem and the answer just comes to me.
