Raquel, Unscripted 🔥🔥 Black people can hurt each other and still not be each other’s enemy. In this part of the conversation, a Haitian woman says she has had painful experiences with Black Americans. She says Black Americans have cursed her out, picked on her, and hurt her since she was young. But she never decided Black Americans were her enemy. Here is where I land. That matters. Because in the last part of this conversation, Black Americans were also telling the truth. Some Black Americans have had real experiences with Haitians, Jamaicans, Africans, and other Black immigrant communities making it clear they did not want to be associated with Black Americans. That hurt is real. But this part adds the other side. If we only build our politics around individual wounds, the system wins. Because the goal has always been division. Make Black Americans resent Black immigrants. Make Black immigrants distance themselves from Black Americans. Make everybody fight over who is better, who is worse, who suffered more, who belongs, who does not. And while we argue, the same systems keep moving. So no, unity does not mean silence. Unity does not mean Black Americans should pretend disrespect never happened. Unity does not mean Haitians should pretend they have never been mistreated either. Unity means truth with direction. Name the hurt. Tell the history. Respect Black Americans. Defend Haitians from dehumanization. And still understand that division is not freedom. Different cultures. Different histories. Different wounds. But in America, Blackness is still racialized. And the people who benefit from our division know exactly what they are doing. Do not let the wound become the weapon they use against us. Follow @my_roque1 for more honest breakdowns. #HaitiTPS #BlackAmericans #BlackUnity #Diaspora #RaquelUnscripted
