So BBW employees are not allowed to call the police for people stealing merchandise, only if they are threatened. They are doing a “floor set” that’s why the store looks like that so the store is no longer open so I don’t know why that lady wanted to come in 😭lol😂

they brought in a lot of stuff to exchange and they buy new stuff with a gift card. sounds like the property being exchanged was possibly stolen, theyre gonna get store credit then sell that for cheap, and take the new stuff to a new store to repeat.....in my professional opinion lol

Retail companies have put rules in place that restricts us from interacting let alone call the cops on a customer that is stealing… yes, states and the corporations are protecting thieves, but the reason is for our protection🤷♀️

she was using a merch card. more than likely given from returning items without a receipt. they came in with those bags full of stuff and probably didnt have a receipt as well and wanted to return for merch credit. this is a common occurrence.

Nah these customers come in and do this to confuse cashiers, especially at this time when they know we are hiring new people. Coming from a former SLT for the company. Then they get aggressive when they’re accused of exactly th crime they’re committing. We can can’t call police because th company doesn’t want anyone getting hurt over soaps and candles, they have their own systems for finding and charging these people.

At Burlington the managers were the only onces allowed to call the cops and they barely even wanted to do that cause u had to write a report and everything and get loss prevention involved just wasn’t worth it to them ig🌚

What I’m hearing is someone thought that someone was robbing the store when in fact they were doing a force set which is what happens basically every Sunday is what I’m getting. I just started with this company a couple weeks ago, but they’re just getting ready for the holiday seasonand someone called the cops because they noticed that the store was closed, but people were inside. I guess I don’t know.
