I’ve been saying this about Paul for almost 20 years. His letters to the “churches” were full of internal conflict with his old ideologies as a Pharisee. It’s sad people are unable to discern and interpret this, but instead follow his misery blindly.

As a child, I was always so uncomfortable with the the self-effacing lyrics in worship songs, being told to sing about how I’m undeserving and dirty and lowly but if I empty out myself and refill with god, I can have his goodness in me. It’s so toxic. They wanted to humble us so bad.

I firmly believe the only way to make Christianity work is to separate all teachings of Jesus from Hebrew texts and view his words in a non dualistic and mystic framework. The gospel of Thomas is universal to non dual traditions.

a shepherd may guard the flock, but the flock is still something they intend to harvest and consume. god is a shepard. the devil can be a wolf w/e but either way we are cattle to them based on their own prayers 😐. I reject this entire notion entirely
