Definitely not overhyped. their treats like splits, ice cream sandwiches and sundaes and shakes are where they really shine. worth standing in line for 30 mins for the ice cream, but especially their handmade treats.

The best I’ve ever had was, we went to Cedar Point in Ohio and Toft’s dairy sells right there. The portions are unbelievable, but it was the best butter pecan ice cream I’ve ever had in my life. Yes, I’d been riding roller coasters all day and a little parched, but when the ice cream is made in the same place that the cows live, it’s just a win-win

I live in Savannah and as much as I love Leopold’s, I’m not gonna wait in that long line. There’s a lot more places around where you can get ice cream or gelato. Which are all good. I’m probably gonna get hated on for saying this, but if you ever get the chance go to a Rita’s Italian ice and try their custard. It’s delicious and lower calorie.
