I didn’t travel alone—I went with my boyfriend. We both felt that the locals were incredibly kind and well-mannered. From the moment we arrived, there was a sense of familiarity, almost like being home, even though I had never been there before. I also felt many different presences—something intangible and hard to put into words—but there was a strong pull, as if something there is calling me back.

Lived there for 15 years and my family owns a historic restaurant on poydras st. Got shot at 3 times. Groped numerous times. Punched twice. No it is not safe!!!! But most of the people are super nice though

just follow any safety precautions that you would in other cities. don't go to areas that aren't well-lit, pay attention to your surroundings and enjoy yourself :)
