the opposite worked for my son. I limited going out because he would get so overstimulated his behavior would be terrible for at least a week. I did play based therapy with him and going out would undo his progress. for a few years I would only take him into a store if I needed 5 items or less.

Best attitude and best advice we have a few kids in our family on very different levels of autism. the world is out there so yes our kids need to join it
