corporate doesn't want us sleeving (or putting a stopper) on hot drinks besides ventis. also told we couldn't double cup but idc if it's hot in my hands i'm doing it

The standard is to sleeve all venti cups and only water based beverages that are grande and tall. So Brewed coffee, Americanos, brewed Teas, Chai, and Honey citrus mint. Feel free to ask at the box when you order your beverage.

I sleeve every hot drink, sleeve and stopper with vertica coffees and double cup hot teas and Americanos with a stopper. Always.

Barista here. Corporate told us not to. They told us not to do stoppers either. Venti still gets a sleeve to protect the integrity of the cup but that’s all

yea by standard they’re only supposed to come on venti sized hot drinks and hot brewed coffees/americanos/teas/extra hot drinks. however (from my knowledge), standard is that they’re also supposed to ask u if u want a sleeve just like they’re supposed to ask if you want a straw (maybe that’s just my location tho)

All the baristas telling you it’s only bentos that get sleeves are wrong! It’s any HOT, WATER BASED BEVERAGE that gets a sleeve…any size. So americanos, brewed coffee, teas, etc of all sizes. Now, milk based drinks…it’s only ventis, or xhot.

I am so sorry were told we aren’t allowed to put sleeves on grande or tall hot drinks unless it’s a hot water based drink or venti now the customers have to ask for it. I don’t know why because it’s still pretty hot

The policy is definitely all sizes of brewed beverages (coffee, tea) venti of all hot beverages and anything that is extra hot. You are right, you should get a sleeve.

If it’s a coffee, tea or hot chai. Then yes a sleeve. But other hot drinks no. I’ve been a partner for 16 years. And this baffles me. I truly believe that all hot drinks should have a sleeve

It’s been policy for a few years now. (Not meant in a negative way towards you/customers…they just one day told us to change what we’re doing… they do it often) My store even stopped offering them completely except for drip coffee and tea. We changed it to where customers could grab one if they wanted.

From my understanding, and I’m not sure if this is just my state or company wide, we aren’t supposed to put it on unless they ask. I won’t lie, I typically do it because they almost always ask anyways, but there’s a wider audience that don’t actually like sleeves haha.

It’s standard. As far as I have been told, We are only supposed to put them on Venti hot drinks and all drinks made with hot water in them ( hot chai & teas). Otherwise you have to ask. The logic behind it makes literally no sense that’s just what they tell us to do :)

Stoppers only come by default in venti cups but I think sleeves should come on all cups .. I always put them on and I also always double cup brewed coffees and teas 🙈

Mixed between baristas not as much location. The sleeves (atleat at my location) get super stuck and take forever to open on a rush so if we’re worried about window time some baristas skip adding the sleeve so they won’t have issues with window time

i think it depends on location and barista bc some stores put them on and some don’t and let you do it. we don’t if it’s in the cafe but we do in the drive thru. prevents waste to have people ask for it.

any drink that has boiled water (chai, americano, drip) and all venti get sleve. boiled drinks for temp, venti for stability. ask when you order at the speaker! they are just doing their job but you can def have one upon request 🥰
