I thought the same thing about my master thesis. Actually got a prize for it and a few years later the grandson of one of the people I wrote about emailed me in appreciation. He also gave it to one of his friends who is part of the community I wrote about, who also emailed me. I wrote about some young Chinese men who were sent to Switzerland in the middle/late 19th century for education btw. So all the love and work I put into it were worth it to me.

Unless you have a supervisor who micromanages you so much, because you have an ADHD brain, and he wants you to publish part of your thesis, that at this point, he is pleading for meetings and I always reschedule and reschedule.

so far I know of 2 people who have read my master's thesis. my professor, and the other student writing her thesis, who continued "my" work. my supervisory PhD student has read most of my thesis, but not the introduction or the final draft. maybe she has now, but I can't say for sure.
