I do car hauling with a fleet of 7.3 diesel trucks. none of then 4wd if I did flatbed probably get 4x4 for construction job sites but these trucks never see dirt and not much snow.

4x4 is also going to cost you more in fuel cost. usually four-wheel drive trucks have lower miles per gallon than two-wheel drive trucks

I don’t do hotshot and the only time my truck sees a trailer is when I haul the golf cart to the dragstrip but I will never in my life buy a 2wd truck

Thanks for making this video! How important is the payload sticker on the door of the truck? Do you stick with a “15%-20%” of your cargo added to your truck payload? Have seen a lot of back and forth on this subject, especially when it comes to payload availability on 3/4 vs 1 ton trucks. Do you think a lot of drivers are “overpayload?” Who’s checking and verifying?

There is also the advantage of low range. even if traction is not an issue, lo range doubles the torque. that makes your transmission not stress as much.
