I feel like most people in the comments don’t grasp that the Netherlands is an atheist country for the majority nowadays. Without events like these these churches will be empty bc there simply aren’t church services in them anymore, in my city they host cinema nights, beer tastings and book/vinyl markets in order to get money to maintain these beautiful buildings! I love it, gives beautiful empty spaces a purpose!

For people complaining, Ireland has literally a church in every corner of the country. There are so many that some were transformed into homes or other things. We have a house crisis, so yea. I think as long as doesn’t has the religious images or is with respect of the religion, why complain about it.
