@bobmarley: On this day in 1973, The Wailers recorded Capitol Sessions ‘73 at Capitol Studios in Hollywood, CA on the Burnin’ Tour! #todayinbobslife After being asked to leave Sly & The Family Stone’s tour for upstaging them show after show, the band was left stranded in the middle of the U.S. and decided to head west to make the most of the journey. They end up booking a handful of shows in San Francisco at The Matrix Club, and then head down to LA for a series of studio sessions at Capitol Records Studios. This one, on October 24th, was recorded in full, and can be seen in Remastered HD and with newly unearthed footage on the Capitol Sessions ‘73 DVD (📀 in story).
