it really feels like they’re focusing on how sleek and smooth they can make their website, instead of function. it feels slow and laggy, and the novelty of the bounciness on the play/pause wears off after literally two minutes

Finally someone said how bad it looks. I do like the way the forwards or backwards 5 seconds animation and look is. Everything else just makes it look like its trying to appeal to a younger audience

I can't stand that they moved the full screen button a bit off the corner, it was so much better when I could just swipe to the corner and press the mouse, now I need to aim it exactly and it's so annoying.

It’s because they are optimizing for non-desktop devices that aren’t using the dedicated apps. This includes Chromebooks and touch screen devices, as well as TVs etc.

before changing the scrolling down thing they removed it entirely which sucks because you used to be able to quickly hide the cursor by just scrolling down and back up again
