Clairic (October 19, 2026) is a preview "System One" model that pulls values out of text and images instead of writing text. Here's what you need to know. 1. Four kinds of answers: it extracts spans from the input, computes numbers and dates from it, estimates values with an 80% interval, and forecasts the next steps of a series. Every answer comes with a confidence score, and it returns null when the value isn't there. 2. In Cloudflare's support-email example it pulled the order ID, added $649.00 and $52.10 into a $701.10 total the email never states, worked out 11 days since delivery, and returned null for a tracking number that wasn't in the email. 3. Speed: in Cloudflare's support-claim pipeline, Clairic then Clef then GLM-5.3 ran in 19.3 s end to end vs 61.7 s with GLM-5.3 doing every step, and cost $6,032 vs $11,740 per million claims. Clairic's extraction step took 0.46 s. 4. Forecasting: 21 next-day forecasts of TSA checkpoint counts had a 3.3% average error, with 17 of 21 inside the 80% interval. Three of the four misses fell on Columbus Day weekend. 5. Price and access: $0.10 per million input tokens, no output tokens. Preview on Workers AI as @cf/cloudflare/clairic, 65,536-token context, up to 4 images per request. Open weights "soon", no date. The catch: it's an early checkpoint. Long arithmetic chains are hard (let code do the math), intervals can run narrow on unfamiliar data, forecasting is basic, and every number here comes from Cloudflare's own tests.
