@jinjigopzxj: This time, OMEGA really made a Dark Side of the Moon. In October 2025, OMEGA released seven new "Dark Side of the Moon" watches. The most anticipated of these was undoubtedly the Grey Side of the Moon Speedmaster. I think this is the Speedmaster that best embodies the "Dark Side of the Moon" theme. The double-layered, skeletonized dial features a new, see-through design. The front reveals a laser-etched "nearside" lunar landscape. The back, a sapphire crystal caseback, displays the crater pattern of the "Dark Side of the Moon," symbolizing the reversed watch, revealing the far side of the Moon as observed during Apollo 8's flight. In December 1968, Apollo 8 completed humanity's first lunar orbit. As command module pilot Jim Lovell glided toward the far side of the moon and lost contact with Earth, he famously left a message to Houston: "We'll see you on the other side." In the pitch-black silence of the communications, the three astronauts peered through the portholes for their first unaided view of the lunar far side. Lovell blurted out, "There is a vast grey area on the surface." It was this authentic transcript of the conversation that inspired Omega's name: the original black ceramic from the "dark side of the moon" was fired back to a grey hue, giving it the name Grey Side of the Moon, capturing the scene as seen by the astronauts. The 44.25 mm monobloc grey ceramic case is crafted from a white zirconium oxide blank, fired in a 20,000°C plasma furnace for three hours, resulting in a cool grey metallic sheen reminiscent of natural moon dust. The entire watch, including case, bezel, crown, and buckle, is crafted from scratch-resistant and lightweight ceramic. The frosted ceramic bezel is inlaid with a Super-LumiNova tachymeter scale, which glows cool white in low light, creating a moondust-like luminescent effect against the gray case. The crown logo is also filled with luminescent coating, a first for Omega. Powered by the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 3869, a first for the Gérôme Gérôme, it boasts 15,000 gauss anti-magnetic protection, an accuracy of 0 to +5 seconds per day, and a 50-hour power reserve.
