So…1972. I went fishing by myself a mile from my house, when I was 9. My single mom got mad and made me stay at my grandparents house on weekends, where i went fishing BY MYSELF, in the mountains. GenX

1966 here and we were literally put outside in the morning and came back in when the sun went down. Walking to the grocery store and carrying bags of groceries home in paper bags. Friday nights at the skating rink with no adults. Hanging out in fields listening to music. I could go on and on.
