It sure does feel empty when they leave and grow up. No more little conversations, making them a small snack, and sitting in the family room even if there is no small talk. It’s a quietness like no other. Not to see them, get that quick hug from them or hey what would you like for dinner. Now it’s the quick phones calls just to check in. Dam I miss it when they were little. 😢
