@unknown_woodworking: My step 2ish in carving feet After layout I cut to my lines which allow me to chisel a good amount of waste away. The saw lines provide relief for me to not carry over into the feet I would like to leave. Temple Tool Company pull saws work great as it’s a small kerf. I’m only holding the bowl on to a piece of non stick fabric liner. A western saw would likely take a lot more effort to ensure the bowl doesn’t move with its wider kerf. I didn’t do any research into how to carve feet and am just having fun. Hopefully this works for others.
