My roommate and her dad both have celiac. Because she has been eating gluten free her entire life, she doesn’t know what’s she’s missing. It’s completely normal to her. It doesn’t have to be a curse.

I have Crohn’s, celiac, PMDD, asthma, a genetically increased risk for cancer, and poor eyesight. 💀 I’m either childfree or adopting unless I can edit all those genes out. 😂

I think the same way but then I remember that we will know how to handle it and how to take all of the right precautions 🫶🏻

I was diagnosed at 5, I truly don’t remember life w gluten so I don’t really mourn gluten the way a lot of later in life ppl do. Also the world has become so much more understanding and so many more food options these days

look at it this way, they will at least have a parent who has experience with the disease and will be very well equipped to help them!

Same here 😭I was diagnosed as an adult, and I have been thinking that it must be so tough as a child with birthday parties, sleepovers, events at school, etc.

Marry someone without the gene 50/50 chance kids will inherit. If they to inherit gene only 10 percent chance they will get celiac. What I have been told

Can I just say my daughter got diagnosed in kindergarten 🥲 but luckily my sister got diagnosed a year or 2 before her. She called me and wanted our family to know and to get checked. Good thing she did. I was dismissed by doctors but then went for it! A couple years later I was diagnosed. Let me just say she is a little warrior ,ambitious, outgoing, fun, smart, beautiful inside and out and not afraid to say no to food with gluten😂!! She at times is my rock questioning 🤨 “are you going to risk that?!”She checks everything. She is 10 now and has found some gf friends at school. I’m grateful she has learned a confidence I couldn’t give her. Is it hard -yes but also having a buddy doesn’t hurt! Teaching her about healthy and not so good options is talk we share as well which as we know hard but food now more than ever doesn’t offer us much nutrients. Celiac buddies for life!

4 kids here, 2 with, 2 without Celiac. Kids were diagnosed before I was...and it's just normal now. Knowing I had it wouldn't have made a bit of difference in my decision to have kids because we have mastered it and my teen and adult child live a normal life 🥰
