For those looking for a masters program check out Texas A&M Biomedical Sciences Masters Non-thesis option. I’ve been able to take domestic animal anatomy, histology, and immunology. A lot of these classes are taught by professors at the vet school. Although more rigorous than undergrad my masters GPA is better than my undergraduate GPA.

i had a 2.769 gpa in undergrad and i’ve retaken gen chem (got an A-) now retaking orgo (WILL GET an A- or higher). i know it won’t budge that 2.7 much at all but will it be enough to present a good gpa for holistic schools im looking at? i also have more than 2,000 vet hours and im working on diversifying my animal experience. applying this year btw

In addition, depending on the MS you can boost aspects of your application like research! I did a one year biology MS with a certificate in biomedical sciences primarily bc I wanted more research hours and a slight boost in my GPA. A lot of these programs are designed to help people into professional schools so pay attention to that as well, they often have really strong advisors to help your applications

I currently am missing organic chemistry 2 and got a C in Organic 1 and General chemistry 1. Should I retake General Chemistry 2 to have a better grade and retake Organic Chemistry 1 before I move forward to Organic Chemistry 2?

This video came just in time! Grad student working on a masters in Bio and currently have a 4.0 GPA and 3.6 cumulative GPA, but my science GPA is lower. I may have calculated it wrong, but I THINK it’s at a 2.9. Currently retaking classes and considering retaking some older classes for this very reason! This feels like a sign!
