I have a 2012 GMC and my issue is it loses prime if it sits too long.Just have to pump it up and go.My daughter drives it more that I do.Last I checked it had 172,000 on it.Have had it for 8 years and it had 99,700 when I got it.Way cheaper than a payment on a new one😩

We obviously can’t be comparing repair bills for a 6.0 power stroke won’t go to anything cause them junkers need haul a parts store around behind them. Everyone my buddies have had spent more time fixing it between head gaskets, high pressure oil system issues and transmission problems then driving the pos. They even made a built Dodge transmission look good.

I grew up ford family bought a 03 with factory 6 speed duramax she has 300k all original except for clutch I just did this summer, I do agree the chassis and chassis parts are junk compared to ford of same generations, but I will say my truck will outpull a 7.3 or 24valve all day long/ completely stock

I’m with you brother dam duramax people don’t understand how hard they are to work they have wires and hoses run across the engine that makes no sense and you are 💯 right people that own them don’t have the money to fix them I use to feel sorry for them and help them out no more of that shit because it winds up costing me because then you run into the same shit you are talking about I hate working on one and I pass them on to other shop because it takes twice as long to do anything on they compared to dodge or ford most of the shops around me charge more to work on a duramax than a ford or dodge no one understands till they work on one then you will realize why a mechanic hates them
