Protect yourself Cassy. Help from a distance. Get her some food. & take care of your brother ofc. Don’t give her money, anything you buy DO YOURSELF. If you want to pay for power etc do it yourself don’t give her money directly.

Help from an arms length away, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. But also, like you said, you can only do so much for someone who refuses to make the steps for themselves. Don’t let her take advantage of you.

Protect yourself, but if she’s ready, she does need support and don’t be afraid to randomly drug tester if you have to and tell her if she wants your help, those are the rules she has to follow because you have a little brother you have to think about it takes a lot to admit that you’re readyAddiction is very hard.

it sounds like shes trying to do her part. I have a close family member who was an addict for many many years, ive gone to the ends of the earth for her so many time for it to be BS. the last time I picked her up off the street was a little over a year ago, today shes thriving, working, and living on her own. they can change.

Addiction is tough and sadly an addict will say anything, they will say whatever you want to hear. I work at an opioid addiction clinic, I see it everyday. That being said if she's clean like she's saying yes I would try one last time to help her. You can not stick around and let her bamboozle you. Every addict does need support. If she's not in counseling I highly recommend it, also NA or AA meetings.

Help her. 🥺 I’d tell her I’d help her and your brother ONLY. If her br comes back in the picture you won’t help anymore. Don’t tell your kids anything until atleast 6 months or depends how you feel/see your mom is doing.
