At 53 between salary, bonuses Benefits and profit sharing I am close to $200k working as a maintenance supervisor with an airline. Wife makes $65k We are consumer debt free, have a low hose payment of $1400/month but pay 2½ times payment, no kids, and maxing out all our retirement accounts. we also live in one of the lowest cost of living states.

you're spot on regarding the social media hype. ppl need to live within their means and stop competing with the Jones's. this will also present the opportunity for generational wealth. but ppl nowadays (imo) are too focused on themselves rather than their future family lineage and wealth.

100% accurate! I make $100K+ at 42 in addition to my husband’s income but we barely have enough to save and invest. Our mortgage and car loans are not that high but it’s our student loans robbing us.
