so i actually just watched it the other day for the first time after hearing christian controversy on it and tbh i loved it & i saw it as a message of people who fought the enemy to protect the people but the main character and Jinu were humans that had a history of shame and the enemy was using that. and the story shows through to the end even the toughest battles or the people that are so far gone can still see the light and be saved essentially — and instead of trying to remove your patterns (scars) you live with them and allow them to be part of your story and to learn and grow from them and be able to accept and forgive yourself for your past.. and the idol song is portraying perspective of the demons and the enemy— i think it’s a beautiful representation of true spiritual warfare where it’s seemingly innocent to those who are “asleep” or spiritually unaware / unsaved but those who have the eyes to see can see right through the deception and see it for what it truly is. the moment in the movie shows truly how obvious and tempting the enemy can be but no matter how tempting, light (God) will always win against the darkness which happens in the movie— the song gets interrupted. i can definitely see what you say about kids singing the songs and how there is power of life and death in the tongue, but i feel like it serves as a reminder that it’s all out there and we need to educate our children on the schemes of the enemy and how it can seem one way but really has other intentions on the backside of it and that’s why we need God and the Holy Spirit to guide us and give us discernment… also def follow your convictions too and don’t let anyone tell you something you feel God wants you or your kids to steer away from isn’t true bc some people have different things going on and are influenced by different things — example; an alcoholic should steer away from alcohol bc it’s something they’re addicted to but other christian’s believe they can drink bc the bible doesn’t speak against drinking it speaks against being drunk but some are more influenced with alcohol than others so it’s important to also follow your convictions — and stay educated if that makes sense

For anyone reading: this song is a metaphor for surviving abuse, breaking cycles, and fighting inner demons. Ejay has talked openly about the trauma that inspired her themes. Calling this movie or music ‘demonic’ doesn’t protect anyone... it just silences a woman who turned her pain into power. Its art. Its metaphor. It's a mirror to society.

I don't even have Netflix anymore. Thank the Lord. Parents really need to be aware of what our children listen to/watch. I even stopped listening to Stray Kids because it blocked my relationship with God. Even as hard as it was to give it up it was 100% worth it. ✝

this is so insane! i’ve felt the same way about this show when i was seeing it on the news… something just felt off! and it’s crazy how the badness in your home was pinpointed and gone just after that… praise Jesus for his saving and healing powers !!!

Christian here! no show is from the Lord per say..... but they are fighting off demons it's not bad.... they are k pop band using music to help fight off the bad as we Worship to help win and the devil lose is a way to put it I guess...

im a Christian and I can understand atleast the "Your idol" song, but its all about peoples own convictions too, plus...they literally fight and destroy demons, I watched it and the songs the girls sing are genuinely sweet especially at the end. Theres alot of things out there you should be worrying about more then a movie of singers killing demons. The movie is also fantasy, just teach your kiddos discernment, and what to know is fake and what's not fake. I grew up watching anime and I still do sometimes, but my parents especially my dad taught me discernment. Theres evil in almost everything, but God can use anything for his good.
