The craziest one is ‘safe’. I remember ‘safe’ being slang for like ‘cool, got it’ in England years ago and was kinda shocked when I heard it in German being used to this day

okay but don’t confuse people who think its quirky to use english words for actual „official“ loan words - I get the german slang of teenagers use a lot of these buuuuuuut thats not really a good representation of Anglizismen

it never seems weird to me until I try to write sth like that down. sure, "Learning" or "Brainstorming" is easy, but... googlen? googeln? ich hab das gegoogelt? do I follow English or German pronunciation/spelling? where in the word do I make the switch?

I was in Slovenia, heard a group of Italian girls speaking. One of them was speaking Italian, like a 22 year old Italian girl would talk; then, all of a sudden she said “what the f**k” in a voice like she was doing a don Frye impression😂
