I had a Greyhound named Cookie Monster (Cookie). She was the best baby. We adopted her at 4. She retired from racing due to toenails being removed (or something like that), and I was 13 at the time, and they told us to just stand there while yhey released the dogs, and the dogs would pick us. Cookie was one of the first ones in, and she made a beeline DIRECTLY to me, and leaned against my legs. That's all it took. We had her until she was 10. I LOVED watching her run. I'd love to get another Greyhound. Did you adopt Sarabi, or was she born with y'all? I ask becaus3 we had to basically teach Cookie how to be a dog, and what doors were (we had to put a suncatcher on the glass door because they said she would run into/thru it if we didn't put something on it to stop her). Did y'all have to do that for her too? This is a picture of my Cookie Monster girl baby.

Sighthounds are pretty much the only dog breed with a double suspension gallop (like a cheetah). Until you’ve stood near one in full sprint it’s hard to grasp just how much faster than regular dogs they are
