@takenapss: Swing Away Don't allow yourself to be shamed by anyone who thinks it's wrong to ask questions. It's ok to be wrong and it's OK to look into something you distrust. We typically find truth by first understanding what isn't true. When you start to realize you've been told half-truths and lies for your entire life, it's only natural to distrust something until you've proven it can be trusted. We've all united online because we dared to research what we're told and use that information to modify our understanding what's told to us in the future. This moment is no different. Everyone should encourage inquisition into complex topics, especially when they have severe consequences when not addressed. You don't have to believe or trust everyone or anyone's story. But you shouldn't feel discouraged by a seemingly endless chorus of voices that suggest you might be crazy for trying to understand something for yourself. Questions are good. Ask them. Tune everything else out and follow your instincts. This should be celebrated, even if you end up being wrong. Admit you're wrong when you are, but you only have to be right once for your investigation to be purposeful. Asking questions are not statements of fact and gathering information is always good.
