that tank is set up for remote fill. it was originally mounted under a coach and hidden so the tank wasnt accessible. originally had hoses that went to the two flair fittings that lead to remote fill and vent locations on the coach.

That tank is not safe for the application you are using it for. It needs a fill valve and one that has an auto-shutoff. You’re absolutely right about easy to fill but yours is not.
