I’m fine without it :
I bought a whole live lobster on food stamps once. It was for my husband’s birthday and we couldn’t afford to go out. I made one lobster into lobster pasta for our family of 5, and we ate it on a folding card table with candles, our best tablecloth, and china we got for our wedding, with a side of canned green beans. I tell this story to everyone I hear bitching about SNAP recipients eating “steak and lobster”. Everyone deserves something nice sometimes.
