According to the words in surah 7:157 THOSE who follow the messenger, the unlettered prophet, whom they find written IN WHAT THEY HAVE OF THE TORAH AND THE GOSPEL. muslims follow the messenger, the unlettered prophet so they need to use what they have of The Torah and Gospel and show everyone where specifically he is written in WHAT THEY HAVE OF THE TORAH AND THE GOSPEL. The verse does not say that muslims must use The Torah of the Jews because they do not follow the messenger,the unlettered prophet.
