When I first planned my trip, I had my mind set on Ha Long Bay due to its popularity, but other travelers convinced me that Lan Ha Bay is the better choice. While Ha Long Bay is famous for a reason, it’s often crowded with large cruise ships and busy tour groups. Lan Ha Bay, on the other hand, has more of a laid-back, local vibe where you’ll find calm waters, small hidden lagoons, and some of the most beautiful scenery you can imagine.
