Ainda que o DSM-5 utilize sexo feminino como sinônimo de mulheres ele continua sendo um documento revelador. Tanto dos discursos hegemônicos e normativos que circulam por aí quanto dos sintomas que acometem mais aqueles que socializamos como mulheres/homens. Os sintomas e diagnósticos são ambos reflexo da sociedade em que vivemos e, por isso mesmo, quando o DSM aponta para determinadas estatísticas podemos nos fazer outra série de perguntas. Inclusive, se perguntar porque o documento insiste tanto em ligar os sintomas ao “corpo biológico” ao invés de problematizar a cultura em que estamos inseridos. Porque será que os transtornos alimentares, transtornos obsessivos-compulsivos, transtornos de ansiedade, relacionados a traumas e a estressores são mais prevalentes em mulheres? Part 2 🍼 Our biggest boy is already enjoying his first solid meals (mealworms 🪱), the middle girl is still on milk but will be switching to worms soon, and our tiniest baby is still milk-only. Flight training is just around the corner, so stay tuned for their very first flying attempts! 🥹 They still don’t have proper names. Right now I’m calling them Laszlo, Nadja & Colin Robinson (if you know you know!… maybe you have better ideas? Drop your name suggestions below! ⬇️ Please note: I only handle these orphaned babies without gloves because they require delicate hand-feeding and constant care. Never handle wild bats without protective gloves and only trained, vaccinated wildlife rehabilitators should care for them. Bats are not pets!
