some of us don't get to have the man flu as a single dad, there's no such thing as a day off or a sick day everything has to keep moving forward regardless of how we feel.

Man flu is because testosterone is an immunosuppressant which means we have a little weaker immune system while women produce estrogen which boosts the immune system so that’s the explanation

Here is the thing. Most men, again most men don't let the regular sickness even enter the chat. They continue like nothing is wrong. Once they are completely depleted then they are made fun of over a common cold. No one sees the week of little sleep and discomfort beforehand. He worked his 60hrs like usual.

I'm a OTR trucker, last time I was sick for 5 days, drove about 4000km, loaded and unloaded 3 trailers, all with fever and sore throat. I've never understood why people lay around all day when sick. Eat right, drink plenty of fluids and rest when you can.

I’m 60 and the exact same way. I can’t sit still to save my life. My daughter says when I die it’ll be in the middle of a step heading somewhere.
