@shinanova: Country food keeps us warm and strong throughout the cold winters. Animal fat and oil are natural insulators!!! #traditional #inuit #fermentedoil #nativetiktok
y’all are forgetting that this is THEIR land. this is a tradition they have done for forever. inuits and other indigenous groups have never been the problem when it comes to anything ecological. they know how to respect the land and the animas unlike the colonizers who displaced them

The angry comments are misplaced. A few First Nations people eating beluga blubber is not the problem. Companies trawling the oceans and global warming making oceans unliveable and eliminating food sources are the problem. Please direct your anger there.

It makes me livid to see the amount of ignorance and judgement regarding such a beautiful culture and people. Some people are literally unable to see past their own boxed in lives.

the comments talking ab the 'poor animal' and 'health concerns' ab eating this cultural foods are just masked racism. just say you have something against native Americans atp. God forbid they eat their CULTURAL food. and tbh it lowkey looks fire and I'd try it 🙏

indigenous communities practicing their ancestral traditions is NOT causing the annihilation of animal species. It’s industrialization/colonization. Indigenous communities don’t just hunt and then take the meat from the creatures… they literally use every part of the animal. Indigenous communities ARE part of the sacred balance in the ecosystem.
