I get it, but a bus stop on a 4 lane road thats that busy is crazy and cannot be safe, not just for the kids but potentially crashes from everyone having to stop in the middle of the highway

def wrong for passing stopped school bus that had flashing stop lights and a stop sign....BUT this is all about safety...the ultimate intent to stop vehicles is for childrens safety. Is a major 3 lane road/highway the best place to pick up or drop off children? I want to know what is down the side road in the first clip. Is there adequate room for the bus to enter and turn around? Is there a more ideal place within reasonable proximity to pick and drop those children? It seems the ideal safest situation would mitigate the highway option and maximize the option with the least threat regardless of laws.

Divided Roadway. Kids can not be dropped off, or picked up in the opposite side of their residence. So deploying the stop sign is irreverent. But different agencies different policies

The bus should be equipped with a camera that will record the license plates of violators. I think this will make it easier for the police in the event of widespread non-compliance with the rules.
