I ref club volleyball tournaments on the weekends so I mainly work Jan-April. It’s a good switch up from working in PT throughout the week and I’m giving back to the game I loved and played for 16 years competitively. I view it as my “fun money”.

Worked my first year out of PT school at an outpatient franchise in Chicago making decent money but just switched to travel PT last August and am now making way more and only work 30 hours a week Mon-Thurs. Definitely recommend switching to travel

Almost 30 years in.. the pay raises haven’t been great! I should be making 20 to 30 k more than I am. I wish we could advocate to get paid for the doctorate required.

My wife (also a PT) and I have been doing travel PT since graduating in 2022. Make great money and work/life balance is great. We were able to pay off my loans (had 42k) but wife still has a good amount. I have dreams of being financially free as well. Honestly I’ve been looking at switching careers and/or similar to you - doubling down on social media or creating a non-PT business. Best of luck brotha!
